| | My wife and I spent 2.5 years fixing up the home we recently sold. We did most of the work ourselves to save as much money as possible. In addition, I enjoy doing the work. During this time, we kept an eye on the houses selling in our neighborhood. We saw that most houses sold within a month - most seemed to sell in a much shorter time frame.
To save even more money when we sold, I seriously considered selling the house myself. After all, we knew the house's features better than anyone having recently renovated it. And
we did a great deal of work on the house...
why should we give the profits to someone else - particularly in a hot real estate market where houses are basically selling themselves is a very short time frame. However, I really am not
current on the laws and paperwork needed
to sell a house in CA.
Then, we began receiving David's fliers in the mail. We called him up and asked him to come over to explain his services. My wife was particularly impressed. David set up his laptop and monitor. Then, proceeded to explain his services step by step and explain the entire
process. He was the most complete and knowledgeable real estate person we ever encountered. So, we hired him. By the way,
we have a good friend that is a real estate person that lives across the street.
During the sales process, David did every thing he said he would (managing all the paperwork, held the open houses, took out a 1/4 page ad in the newspaper, and negotiated the close of the
deal)
Our house sold in 2 weeks at what we considered a high price.
David did a great job for us. I highly recommend David to everyone. He was a great find. I wish we were buying another house in the area so we could receive the 30% rebate of
commissions after we bought. However, we already
owned another house in the area that we moved into. We definitely plan to use him when we sell our next house.
